User Guide

The Pet Health Passport lets you take control of all your pets’ healthcare records in one handy app, from puppy or kitten right through to their senior years.

It features handy reminders and official digital vaccination certificates that you can email directly to your pet’s boarding facility. You can also keep track of medication administration and parasite treatments. The Pet Health Passport provides a handy reference library of healthcare information for some of the more common medical conditions for cats and dogs.

You can share a pet’s record with multiple people in your household and any changes will automatically synchronise to each device.

Most importantly, the Pet Health Passport keeps you connected with your veterinarian so you’ll find their contact details are always on hand.

The Pet Health Passport can manage all of your pets on the one app. Add as many pets as you want and with a tap, you can switch between their profiles.

While the Pet Health Passport is optimised for dogs and cats, it can also be used for reptiles, pocket pets, horses and birds.

The Pet Health Passport keeps track of every record in a continuous timeline. Simply tap any record to view or update the details, or even share a significant event with your vet. The timeline is always accessible from the footer navigation.

The Pet Health Passport captures secure vaccination records by scanning a QR code at your veterinary clinic. QR codes are linked only to your veterinarian and the vaccination record cannot be altered afterwards. Each vaccination certificate includes every vaccine, administration dates and due dates, plus details of the veterinarian and clinic where it was administered.

The Pet Industry of Australia Association has confirmed that digital signatures such as those contained in the Digital Pet Health Passport app are valid and acceptable as authentic on veterinary records.

Official digital vaccination records can be emailed directly from the Pet Health Passport app to a boarding facility.

The Pet Health Passport makes it easy to keep track of your pet’s weight. Every weight you enter is automatically graphed so it’s easy to see trends in weight changes over time.

If you nominate a target weight, that band will also be visible on the chart.

The Pet Health Passport helps with parasite treatments and medications by providing on-time reminders, so your pet receives each treatment on the scheduled day. You can also set reminders to let you know when you need to repurchase or renew a treatment.

The app can email your veterinarian directly with a request to renew a medication. Reminders can be turned off if preferred.

The Pet Health Passport allows you to capture photo and video health care records. These can be very helpful when a significant event occurs at home, as you will be able to accurately capture the situation including the exact event time, then share those details later with your veterinarian.

The Pet Health Passport can directly email an information summary to your boarding facility. This email contains your contact details, your pet’s general information and current vaccination certificate. It also includes a desexing record and any notes that you may like to include about dietary requirements, medications or special requests.

You automatically receive a copy of the email and any replies to the email will come directly back to you.

The Pet Health Passport allows multiple owners to share a pet’s healthcare record. This is ideal for households where a pet can have many carers. It’s also great if you need to leave your pet with another person while you’re away on holidays. When a shared owner updates a pet’s healthcare record, those changes automatically appear on the other owner’s app*.

You can also transfer a pet’s healthcare record to another owner if a pet needs to be re-homed. When a pet is transferred, the previous owner is no longer able to edit that pet’s healthcare record.

* to protect your privacy, images and videos are currently not shared automatically between devices, however you can transfer images outside of the app and then relink them on each device.

Please be aware of these important details about how the Pet Health Passport uses images and videos:
